At the Winnipeg Fringe 2023
Joe Plante grew up in Brandon, Manitoba where he spent much of his time singing in choirs and in his high school’s musical productions. After moving to Winnipeg for university, he spent much of his time singing in the car and at karaoke. In 2019 he returned to the stage for the first time in Winnipeg with 7 Ages Productions in A Grand Night for Singing. Broadway at the Blue Elephant will be Joe’s second show with 7 Ages Productions, and his first time participating in the Winnipeg Fringe Festival. He is excited to experience the festival as a performer this time around.
Kitrina Plante has been performing with 7 Ages for almost 20 years. Some of her favourite roles were Velma Kelly in Chicago, Shirley in Shirley Valentine, and Patsy Cline in both Always, Patsy Cline and A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline. Along with her love of performing in theatrical productions and musicals, Kitrina has sung with numerous bands. She is currently singing with local Winnipeg rock band Calamity Jane. This Fringe show will be extra special for her as she gets to perform with her son Joe.
Erin-Brie is excited to be a part of this wonderful cast, singing many well-known and loved songs! Performing has always been an important part of her life – in musical theatre, theatre, and dance. Highlights are playing the role of Persephone in I Married the King of the Underworld and my Mom Freaked (Winnipeg Fringe Festival), Ladybug in James and the Giant Peach (Superior Theatre Festival), and performances with The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Winnipeg, Merlyn Productions, and The Little Opera Company. Erin-Brie has studied voice, both locally and in Ontario, and was a runner-up for the James Seaton Trophy at the Winnipeg Music Festival. She sends a huge “thank you” to family and friends for their love and support. Enjoy the show!
Dylan returns to 7 Ages after performing the title role in Macbeth earlier this year at the Gas Station Theatre. He also previously starred as Oedipus in 7 Ages' presentation of Oedipus the King at the 2016 Fringe. Other select credits include Oliver! (Bill Sykes), Godspell (Judas), My Fair Lady (Freddie), The Wiz, A Christmas Carol, Charley's Aunt, and Safer Ground. Many thanks to George and Trish for all their support over the years. Enjoy the show!
Holly Walker (B. Mus, B. Ed) has been active in the Westman musical community scene since 2011, playing keyboard for both high schools and community groups. She has played in several musicals for 7 Ages, including Guys and Dolls, Forbidden Broadway, and Les Misérables. For more than ten years, she has been an elementary music teacher in Brandon. Holly is very excited to be playing at the Fringe Festival for the first time!
